GH Mini-Masters

Next GHMM on July 5 - 9, 2027.

The Global Health Mini-Masters (GHMM) is a summer program that introduces students to some of the most important health challenges facing communities in Canada and around the world. Designed for students entering Grades 7–10, the program connects young people with health care professionals, researchers and advocates who bring global health issues to life through discussion, research and hands-on learning.

Students explore topics such as women’s and children’s health, Indigenous health, health equity and inclusion, LGBTQ2S+ health, disability and health innovation, while also considering the economic, political, ethical and social factors that shape health. Working in small groups, participants research real-world global health challenges, develop potential solutions and present their ideas to their peers. The goal is to inspire young people to see themselves as advocates, global citizens and future agents of change.
