Global Health at PGME

Global Health at PGME is committed to enhancing the health and wellbeing of local and global populations while residents, fellows,  medical students (via GHEP) and young learners (via GHMM) meet intrinsic competencies by creating and delivering strategic education initiatives, guidelines and events.

Vision 

Global Health at PGME provides leadership in collaborative, innovative, global health education, scholarship and practice, supporting the training of socially responsible physicians. 

PGME global health initiatives were highlighted in Accreditation 2020 Report Summary and cited as a leading practice and innovation (LPI).

Mission

Global Health develops and delivers a comprehensive portfolio of co-curricular educational activities and scholarship that enhances the postgraduate and undergraduate training experience and contributes to the social responsibility mandate of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Global Health is committed to enhancing the health and wellbeing of local and global populations while residents, fellows and medical students meet intrinsic CANMEDs competencies such as leader, collaborator, advocate, professional, scholar and communicator.
